Optimized & Industry-ready Solutions Applications of NDT
NDT can be performed during or after manufacture, or even on equipment that is in service, In manufacturing, NDT inspections determine if parts are fit for the desired function. In other words, parts are inspected to ensure they will last a certain amount of time or cycles before failure. During operation, NDT inspections can be used to assess the current damage state of equipment, monitor damage mechanisms, and make informed decisions for remaining equipment life evaluations (e.g., RBI, FFS).

Advanced NDT Technologies
Advanced NDT technologies have significant value as quality control for industries where mechanical failure would incur major costs or put lives in danger.
Non-destructive testing (NDT)
Non-destructive testing (NDT) refers to a family of procedures that can be used to perform critical tests without causing damage to the tested substrate, part, or system. All the Industries in the region, make use of conventional and advanced NDT techniques, which utilize technologies such as digital radiography, Automated Ultrasonic Test, Phased Array Ultrasonic Test etc. to verify the integrity and condition of Oil and Gas Plant equipment and pipelines to ensure safe operation. Eastern Bell is working hard be your partner to provide you your needs with the latest advanced technologies in the NDT industry. The following are some of the advanced NDT technologies offer to our customers by Eastern Bell.
Film Digitizers
Film digitizing is the process of converting traditional analog film into a digital format copy. This process is extremely beneficial for the long-term storage and archiving of processed films. Digitized films may be electronically shared and reviewed remotely, as well as used to directly compare current digital images with previously produced film radiographs in asset monitoring applications
Guided Wave Testing system (GWT)
It is an electromagnetically generates and receives low-frequency ultrasonic guided waves. It is used for rapidly surveying a long length of pipeline from a single test location. The corrosion wall loss and cracks in aboveground, buried, and insulated pipe can be detected, and their locations and sizes can be estimated by analyzing the data with user-friendly software. it is a screen tools to verify the condition of a segment of piping system or pipelines which takes longer times when using manual UT or visual inspection techniques and provide big cost saving from erecting scaffoldings and removing pipes insulations to conduct visual inspection.
Computed Radiography
Computed radiography (CR) system is a digital modality that uses flexible, reusable phosphor imaging plates to capture the radiographic image. CR is extremely similar to traditional wet film in its application characteristics, particularly in the ability of the image plates to be contoured, wrapped and re-sized. CR is a relatively mature digital modality and is widely used throughout all Industry segments in lieu of using radioactive materials.
Automated Corrosion Mapping
Automated Corrosion Mapping or Corrosion Mapping or C-Map or Ultrasonic Corrosion Mapping systems that use a robotic scanner to conduct rapid scanning to verify the equipment condition. AUT systems are capable of acquiring actual wall thickness and base metal defects such as HIC/step-wise cracking, blistering, laminations and all base metal and can be used over large areas of vessels and piping while the system remains in operation or out of services. Phased Array ultrasonic testing (PAUT)
PAUT is an advanced nondestructive examination technique that utilizes a set of ultrasonic testing (UT) probes made up of numerous small elements, each of which is pulsed individually with computer-calculated timing (“phasing”). When these elements are excited using different time delays, the beams can be steered at different angles, focused at different depths, or multiplexed over the length of a long array, creating the electronic movement of the beam. PAUT can be used to inspect almost any material where traditional UT methods have been utilized and is often used for weld inspections and crack detection.
Thermographic Testing
Thermographic Camera with dedicated software contouring defects on a visible scene. Easier than a standard infrared thermal imaging camera. It is one of the best indicators for maintenance, quality and security. It has a new concept of thermal camera which enables you to see at a glance the abnormal thermal contours in the visible scene. Made for all users, enables faster checks, thought for the technician in terms of ergonomy.
Borescopes and Robotic Video Crawler (RVC)
Both technologies are portable, intelligent solutions that meet the demands of modern industrial inspections. A host of advanced, intuitive features and a wide range of borescope, videoscope, and fiberscope lengths, diameters, and viewing options make remote visual inspection solutions versatile for many applications.
Acoustic Emission Test (valves leakages)
A portable equipment and easy to use, uses an acoustic emission (AE) sensor which finds and quantifies valve leakages by examining the very high frequency noise a leaking fluid generates. Not only does this valve leak detection tool quickly find leaking isolation valves, control valves, check valves, it also allows the owners to benchmark valve performance during commissioning and provides data storage, analysis and reporting in the field via a PDA.
Ultimate Leak Detector (The LEAKSHOOTER)
The system is used like a video camera. You scan your instal¬lation, once a leak has been located it will appear as a dynamic target on the large color screen. This target will move and reduce in size to the center of the screen as you approach the exact leak location. A horizontal barograph also helps you to find the leak origin, this being the point where the maximum signal is emitted. It is then possible to save and download leak pic¬tures to PC via USB for reporting.
Advanced tube inspection systems.
Advanced Tube Inspection techniques ET, RFET, IRIS, MFL & NFT provides complete tube inspection and assessment service which can conduct inspection of heat exchangers, steam generators, boilers, coolers, feedwater heaters, and condensers boilers, re-boilers, Fin-Fan heat exchangers coolers etc. The system will detect all common defect such as pitting corrosion, longitudinal cracks, circumferential cracks especially at the tubesheet, erosion, fretting and metal loss. Detecting these defects early enables optimal performance and of course the prevention of critical failure.
The Advanced tube inspection systems for Ferrous and Nonferrous Materials offering the following advanced NDT technologies:
• Eddy Current Testing (ECT)
• Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL)
• Remote Field Testing (RFT)
• Internal Rotating Inspection System (IRIS)
• Near Field Testing (NFT)
